Which is your favourite breed of dog?

Are you fond of dogs?  There are so many different breeds.  Which is your favourite?  When I was young we had a small  miniature collie, who looked like a tiny version of the movie acclaimed “Lassie”.  I don’t have a dog now but if I did, I would want to get a Samoyed and a Chow chow, and a Keshond.  I can’t decide between the three of them, so I think I would need to get one of each!

There are many other dogs which I like too.  I think the Lhasa Apso is also a very beautiful dog.  They are most known for being in the shows, with their hair flowing down to the floor.  Many years ago, the Lhasa Apso was bred and kept by the Monks in Tibet, to act as guard dogs.  If you are interested in learning more about the Lhasa Apso breed, you can find details from the following two website:

I am very fond of our family dog called Goldie. Goldie is a Lhasa Apso. He is about 12 years old now. He is not in very good health. The vet has prescribed him pain killers that he takes with food through out the day. We don’t know how much longer Goldie will be around. So when I saw Goldie last month, I treasured every moment spent with him. We just don’t know if he will still be around by the next time I visit.

My favourite clip of Goldie is towards the end of the video at 6.30 minutes, when he is drinking of the outside bird bath.  The very funny thing is that Goldie refuses to drink water from the traditional dog’s drinking tub.  Maybe he doesn’t like the taste of tap water!  Instead whenever he is thirsty, he insists on going outside, regardless of the weather.  Even when it is snowing and freezing cold, or raining with hail storm.  Goldie will go outside and drink from from the bird’s water bath.  The water is rain water.  It would certainly have a different taste.  I didn’t try it.  Although it sounds tempting!?
